Workshops

1. Master classes

In this series of classes, international and regional professionals share their experience with upcoming filmmakers. It also includes a showcase of technical innovation and equipment demonstrations. Private companies / event sponsors have an opportunity to showcase their products, services and expertise.

2. Pitching sessions

The event includes dedicated rooms where selected individuals from East Africa are given a chance to pitch concepts or projects to potential investors in the following categories:

TV Shows (Talk Shows, Games Shows, Reality TV, Magazines, Variety programs etc.)
Animated TV Series / TV series / Animated feature films
TV Series / Soap Operas
Documentaries – Ksh 500,000

3. Policy makers’ round tables

The round tables offer top policy and decision makers from the East African countries the opportunity to discuss regional issues, share experiences and ideas and create synergies. The main objective is to bring decision makers to initiate collaborations so as to harmonize the filming industry and produce national policies to support the regional audio-visual and film industry.

4. Scouting field trips

Professionals interested may have the opportunity to travel throughout the country and discover several key filming locations as well as visit studios and pre-production / production / post-production houses.
